I was reading the article Deviant workplace behaviour and Organisational Citizenship behaviour. Is it possible with our current labour laws? Can the public sector banks expect such exemplary behaviour in workplace? The labour laws need to be amended for that which will be vehemently objected to by the unions.

Hi
I dont want to comment on labour laws etc. But your observation about public sector banks is not justified
I have come across with such behaviours in private banks and excellent behaviour in public sector banks.
In fact yesterday I was in Indian Bank and I am not an account holder in that branch. I was waiting in a queue after enquiring where I would get info . Suddenlt someone called me from the counter, asked me what I want, gave info in just a minute.
In fact I am seeing lot of such behaviours in Public Sector Banks. Alternatively, I have come acxros with rule bound, litlle atrocious behaviour from Private Banks.I can quote number of instances branchwise...atleast 5 to six branches I have visited
So.......dont single out Public Sector Banks
:) :) :) :)
