Hi Ashwini,
While signing up for PF, you must have filled up a form for a NSSN number, wherein you would receive a card sililar to a PAN card. You may use that card to check with any PF office about your accumulated amount in the PF account.
Seniors, please correct me if I am wrong...

Hi
1. You must be receiving a salary slip everymonth It is mandatory The organisation shall show Deductions made. Keep this safe.
2. If no PF dedution is shown that implies you are not getting covered
3.You will receive annual statements from the EPF office
4. Youngsters are lucky as you are all getting issued with NSSN number
5 However, EPFO is yet to be computerised fully
6 They are planning for members to access and see your accumulation at anytime It may take a few years
Right now you need to keep track of your pay slip

Hi,
I m working with an IT Co , i got into payroll from May 07 and in Dec 07 i received a PF annual statement for 2006-2007 stating only one month employer / employee's contribution in a year instead of eight months ie fm May to Dec. What about the other deduction happening since May.
Can anyone tell me whether it is correct and why ?
Thanks

Hi Marufa !
Accouning for PF is done for March to Feb basis. So it is little different from regaular April to March financial year. It creates a little confusion to understand sometimes.
However in your case, this March - Feb does not seem to be the issue.
If you provide the details about employment term and relevant dates, may be someone from us can clarify it.

It’s very simple check Form 9 or Form 5 for your PF No. and check Annual returns i.e, Form 6 A & 3 A for your contribution. Regards, Srinivas
