The company is newly registered on EPFO. Can someone guide me through the rules of employee exemption? Are there any rules that help employees be exempted from PF deductions?

Hi,

Who ever joins your Establishment, if they had PF with the past Employer then PF should be continued and they can't be exempted from PF. However an employee whose starting PF salary is more than Rs.15,000/- and if he/she not covered under PF earlier then such categroy of employee can be exempted from PF. However you need to collect PF Form11.

Hi. Thank you for your quick response. Can you help me with what the purpose of Form 11 is? And who should fill it? The employees who are getting registered or the ones who are being exempted?

Hi,

Form 11 is a self-declaration form that every employee is required to fill when joining an organisation that comes under the Employees' Provident Fund and Family Pension Scheme.

So you need to collect from all the employees and keep it for your records. This will help you to know regarding past employment PF details of the employees.

On company just becoming eligible, what would be the DOJ for the employees as they have been employed for more than a year now?
