There is no Industrial Relations Act but only Industrial Disputes Act. ID Act covers all workers who have no supervisory and managerial functions.

Industrial Relations act is a state act of Maharashra and Gujarat, applicable to specific industries like cotton and sugar.
If your factory is in Gujarat or Maharashtra and doing work in the specified fields, then the workers will be covered under that act.

Ok, Fine. Who all are covered under the said Acts? As I said the ID Act covers all employees, not necessarily the workers, who are not having supervisory and managerial functions. Does the IR Act also have the similar scope for the worker/ workman?
