Hi All, kindly clarify whether PL leave encashment is mandatory during the full and final settlement of a resigned employee and a terminated employee in the manufacturing industry. If it is mandatory, please share the Factory, Labour, or Wages Act rule.

At the time of discharge/ termination of employment due to any reason, the unavailed leave should be encashed. Please refer section 79 of the Factories Act for details
