Hi, Just we got 5-6 orders from the manufacturing comply in their plant and for that we need to recruit supervisors, operators and labours. There are some labours we need to hire/give to other contractors.

what are things we need to maintain and what are the need we need to ask from the subcontractor.

Kindly suggest.

Unless you give full details on the nature of the establishment, its regular manpower, quantum of work/workmen required, duration of the contract etc, it is not possible to give any worthwhile opinion in the matter

You need to do compliance under the Contract Labour by maintaining required registers, maintaining returns, Contract License etc.

It appears from the original post that the organization has been obtained orders from one / more operation hub(s) to operate certain portion of manufacturing activities and will be required to engage Supervisors, Operators and labors. Certain labors will be required to heir from other contractor(s).

Therefore, in the above situation there are 3 parties - PE, Contractor & Sub-contractor. Contractor must obtained license ( if applicable as per the number of employees engaged and as per the rule of the State ) . For any Manufacturing plant it is essential to obtain gate pass for entering the factory. It depends on PE whether in the gate pass of contractor, the sub-contractors people are also allowed or Sub-contractor will also be required to obtain separate vendor code and separate gate pass along with labor license.

For employees of contractor it will be required to maintain muster roll, attendance register, wage register, OT Register, Leave register, Gratuity and F & F documents, Retrenchment benefit if any, compliances under PF, ESIC, Bonus etc. as per CLRA rules of the State. For Sub-contractor also the all above will be required.
