Could you please assist me with the different types of engagement activities except fun activity, sports activities, reward and recognition function. Because since we are working with the night shift employees are not engaged with business. so we are planning to do some engagement activities to enhance their involvement towards their jobs.

Dear Dhanapal,

Nothing wrong as such to conduct employee engagement activities, nevertheless, HR professionals must establish their linkage with productivity. There are many HR professionals who conduct engagement activities for the sake of it. Far from establishing a correlation with employee productivity, they do not measure even the ROI of these activities.

You have written that "because since we are working with the nightshift employees are not engaged with the business." Why do you say so? Have you studied the productivity difference between the day shift and the night shift? Employees work in the night shift the world over however, every company does not face this problem.

What exactly is the issue that led you or your company to the engagement activities? If you could give more information then it would be possible to provide the solution.

Lastly, you deserve to be given feedback on the quality of your writing. The structure of your post, and the language used are too casual and inconsistent with the forum of professionals. Projecting a professional image always helps and hope you remember this rule forever!

Thanks,
