I am working in an outsourcing agency. Here resources are deployed in different projects. As per the HR policy employees are entitled get 1 PL for each 20 days worked. Please let me know whether these un-availed PLs are mandatory for encashment or not.

The normal procedure in almost all labor laws providing for PL is encashment of PL at credit on the termination of employment of the employee only. But in actual practice, most of the employers permit annual encashment of PL at the request of the employees concerned.
