Dear all,
Functional Job Analysis is different and more practicable than mere Job Description. While JD instructs a person what to do; FJA unveils panaroma of possibilities implied in his job. It unleashes his potentialities. Tendering FJA to the employee is more honorable than tendering JD. Because when you give JD to him, he feels like a menial labour who is told what to do, as if his expertise, experience and education stands null and he is required to be told what to do.
Whereas FJA talks about expectations from him as a leader of his function. FJA allows him a room to exercise his wisdom, experience and education earned; and even method ( if company policy allows).
Hope the format shared will be of great use to the fraternity.
