Dear All, A very recently there was news on enhancement of ESI wage ceiling limit from 15000/pm to 21000/pm. Request for notification copy, if it is available as I have not come across with that.

Sir, the appropriate government (Ministry of Labour & Employment, Central Govt.) as per information I could ascertain, has not so far issued notification of intention regarding enhancement of wage ceiling under ESI (Central) Rules, 1950. If required, you can confirm the same from said government.

The existing wage limit for coverage under the Act is Rs. 15,000/- per month ( w.e.f. 01/05/2010). There is no official notification yet from the Government in enhancing the wage ceiling limit from Rs. 15,000 to 21,000/-.
