Hi, Im working as asst.HR, here i got a question, employee is under coverage of ESIC, recently he given a birth to baby boy just 20days back. But the baby boy health is not well,we cant add the baby name in ESIC so now the baby can get any benefits from ESIC by his father coverage.

1.Sir, the name of the new born baby can be added in the Identity Card/Family Identity Card and he will get medical care being the family member of the insured person. It is better to contact the concerned Branch Office of ESIC and get the needful done and after adding the name and particulars of the baby, can visit ESI dispensary/ESI Hospital for treatment of child.
2. It is also submitted that the form for addition of the family member can also be found with the employer and for adding the said family member, the copy of birth certificate/evidence of proof of birth of child will also be required by the said Branch Office.
