Dear Seniors,
Greetings for the day.
I have a query - What is the procedure for registering and availing ESI benefits for family members who do not reside with the employee at the working area? I am working in a manufacturing company where 150 employees and workers are registered with ESIC, and most of them belong to other states and cities. They want ESI benefits for their families in their hometown. Is it possible to do this online through the ESI portal?
Warm Regards,
Deepak Agarwal

Sirs,
Perhaps there is a separate procedure adopted by ESIC for the issuance of individual Identity Cards for families residing in other areas or states. In order to provide medical services for the families of insured persons covered under the ESI Act, the insured person or authorized officer of the employer needs to visit the appropriate Branch office of ESIC and inquire about obtaining separate Identity Cards for the family members.

Subject: A Mad Guy with the Psychologist during His Treatment!
Psychologist: Do you know? Psychologist says, "Come on, I am tired, you tell me."
Mad guy:
"How do we go undisturbed in this world we are living in? Why do conflicts between two people arise? How do we seek the good in others?"
Psychologist: "I have been trying to understand for many years, carry on, you tell me."
Mad guy:
"I personally don't think it's about the label of good or bad because I believe we are all human beings. What I believe is that we all have our differences in respect to the environment, beliefs, and culture we have been brought up in. Nevertheless, everyone wants to be loved, respected, and acknowledged by others, even if we don't practice it towards each other.
It's true, everybody is affected by others' actions and behaviors at some point. It happens so quickly that we don't have enough time to think of our own reactions that come out so fast, causing further conflicts, hatred, and anger.
I think it's the instant action and behavior we see from others; it may be from members of our own family or from a complete stranger that leads us to believe that their actions are wrong and we need to hurt them or give them a harsh correction.
The problem is that we do not understand that our reaction comes from a dead brain, an emotionally blinded brain that is not in control of itself.
We need to be in control. In control of what? In control of ourselves to accept other people's rudeness, stupidity, unfaithfulness, and so on.
What should we do when we see the above happening like a flash in front of us, in the present time? It happens like an enlightenment! Like an explosion! The brain goes MAD!
Just know that if we react to it, it won't cause the person causing the problem any harm. Instead, it will give them more ammunition to fight back with more stupid words, more arguments, wasting our time and filling our minds with lots of negativity, provoking us to cause further continuous harm to them and eventually to ourselves. Why do we entertain these dramas?
I am trying, I will keep trying. I hope it will be beneficial for me and maybe for you if you see the world and the people living in it the same way I see it. If you analyze the whole situation and agree with me, we may need to practice a few things together to be safe.
So, I was saying how do we protect ourselves and get out of there without getting ourselves wounded or mentally disturbed when we are in situations facing abnormal people doing things in a wrong way.
First, understand that we are in a war field, our enemies are there to cause us harm, to steal our possessions, to make us lose our job, to provoke us to do something that we had never expected to become, and may also kill us on the spot. So, please let's be in control.
It's not a matter of winning or losing, my friend. It's about leaving the area, the location, without allowing the action or the bad behavior to appear bad to the eyes of the doer. Make it appear and sound ineffective. Even if there was negativity from the opponent and positivity from our side, we make it appear as "all is well. No problem."
The doer should not feel that something bad has just happened; you should leave just as normal, but only you know what you do.
Keep a smile on your face, keep control of your mind quickly, be patient, cooperative, tolerant, bite your tongue, and leave by saying a few nice words like, "Ok, I am very sorry about that. It won't happen again. Ok, see you later and have a good day" or simply, "no problem."
No further problem will be caused by you!
If you have reached this level of realization, then you may say that you are wise and full of awareness in the path of your journey in life. Your asset is still there, your job is still there, he or she did not kill you, you were not angry, he will not be revenging at you in the future, and you will still be happy.
It's not your problem if he or she is not intelligent, nice, and smart; you do not correct people, but you know how to live with them, and that is a skill! Learn that and be successful.
Learn how to pick up and drop it and wash memory from your eyes. That's all you will be doing, picking up words, dropping down words, and erasing images. The words you drop down to them, though, are words that their ears will love to hear. Then you go free and safe."
Mad guy: "When is the next appointment, Sir?"
Psychologist: "Um, next year."
The psychologist fell deep asleep.

ESI benefits can be claimed by family members anywhere in India. However, the HR person of that firm should mention online while issuing the temporary card that the dependant's salary is less than Rs. 5,000/- per annum.

Dear All,
Thank you for the replies. My question is how can I register them in their nearest ESI dispensary for availing benefits at their resident place, and is it possible to do online through the ESI portal? If yes, then how?

Sir,
The registration work, such as the issuance of Identity cards for the Insured Person and their family, is carried out at the Branch Office of ESIC. Therefore, in my previous comments, I suggested contacting the appropriate ESIC Branch Office. ESI Dispensaries/Hospitals only provide medical facilities based on the Identity Cards issued by the respective ESIC Branch Office where the Insured Person is registered.
