Madam, I would like to inform you that it is not possible if your family members are living in another place. This is because at the time of making a smart card, we save all member fingerprints and group photos, which is not feasible with any other software.

Hi Kavita,
You have to take a group photo of all family members for the smart card. During the photo session, please instruct all employees to mention their family members only if they can bring them for the photo session. Otherwise, they can proceed directly to the ESIC office with their family members to have their photo taken. After that, they can avail benefits from anywhere in India.

Dear All,
Our company employees have received their ESIC cards, but no one has yet availed them as we are also in with a mediclaim tie-up. However, I would really like to know the activation process (as the card needs to be activated) and also the process for filing claims or if there's also the option of cashless if required. Additionally, what more can HR do to help these employees and also the necessary documents for activation or any other process? Please guide me in this aspect.
