Dear All,
Please help!!! In my company, it was 3 months of notice period, But due to my personal issues i want to relieve ASAP(within 1 month). Though in offer letter it was mentioned basic salary pay option to get relive early, they are not accepting and pressuring me to serve for 3 months. Please assist how to get relieve in 1 month with my all my papers(relieving letter), so that when i join new company i should not get troubled. Also is there any law for this....
Kindly advise. Thanks in advance.

Hi Buddy,
If you want to relive from your current organization ASAP than pay 3 month salary in lieu of notice period which is legal.
However if your employer asking you to serve the notice period than i would suggest you to write a letter to your HR head stating your reason for leaving and also mention you willingness to pay 3 month salary in lieu of notice period and also send the copy of this letter to your concerned department head and MD/Director.

Dear Prashath,
Firstly in a professional forum do not address members as "dude'.
Be professional in what you write and post.
No SMS language or improper spelling.
Secondly advice to write to MD is proper as you say lower management is not being helpful in anyway.

Hi Prashant
I agree to Mr. Thumps Ups suggestion.
secondly no one has the right to shout. They have to be professional and human.
Even if you haven't met your MD , since your TL & Managers are not supporting you, you have the right to address the issue to the MD directly via email in a very professional way. I'm sure he will be able to come out with a solution.
Also regarding this you can speak to your new company, may be they agree that you can serve 3 months notice and then get relieved or they might exempt you from submitting the relieving letter.
You will get a solution only if you address the issue.
All the Best.
Thanks & Regards

Hi Pprascs8,

First of all you have mentioned that you wanted to quit because of personal reasons and then you as well mention about a new employer. Be it now or then, do not create scene to leave the company. Mostly in the appointment letter they will mention "salary in lieu of notice period". However it is the own discretion of the employer whether they wanted to relieve the employee earlier.

You can fight against your organization, however they may play with your papers or may even terminate you and would have that in the record. Go speak with whoever is the appropriate person and tell them that you have to leave because of some personal emergencies and you are willing to pay the amount. You can also tell them that any pending task shall be completed within the time frame. Be convincing rather than demanding.

If you are leaving this job because of another offer, then please do not do this. I have seen many candidates jumping into the pit by informing the new employer that they have short notice to serve. Candidates even fearing that they will not get interview calls if their notice period is high. Nowadays pulling back the offer extended is more common than how it was in the past.
