We have a 2-month notice period in our company. An employee has requested early relieving and suggested a buyout of one month as it is for an urgent opening, and his prospective employer is willing to reimburse the same - which would be one month's pay for the one-month notice period buyout. Can we include the notice period buyout details in the payslip so that it can be refunded by the new employer?

Appreciate if anybody can help with the issue.

You need to prepare the F&F statement of the employee which includes all his payable dues.
Mention the amount of notice period recovery and also for how many days.
The employee pays you the recoverable dues. Then you issue a letter stating that ………. amount has been recovered towards short notice period served and that the same has been settled by the employee.
The employee can submit this document and F&F statement to his new company and claim reimbursement from them.

Dear Friend,

It seems you are willing to accept the buyout offer for one month. Please issue the relief as per the procedure, and there is no need to mention every detail in the service relief order. Let the relief order include the conduct, work efficiency, best of luck in future endeavors, and clearly state all other benefits provided upon relief. Also, do not mention the buyout explicitly yet; you can state that the relief is granted upon the employee's request.

Furthermore, if you wish to specify, issue a relief order stating that instead of the two-month notice period, one month is allowed for relief, and one month's emoluments should be deposited by the employee to be relieved from services. You have the authority to proceed as per the established procedures.

Please let me know if you need further clarification or assistance.

Best Regards,
