Dear Dilip, If you search will get detail in various posts.. For your reference here are few basic details.. PF is contributed 12% of Basic & DA from both employee as well as employer side. ESIC is deducted @1.75% of gross salary per month from employee and 4.75% of Gross from employer. whereas ceiling is 10,000/- per month only. If one's gross is more than 10,000/- then he shall be exempted from the ESIC. Professional tax is deducted on gross salary, here it has some range for the deduction and it varies from State to State. Like for Gujarat upto 3000 gross salary is exempted from PT. upto 5999/- deducts Rs. 20, upto 8999/- deducts Rs. 80, upto 11999/- attracts 150 and above that attracts 200/- rupees. Regards, Amit Seth.

Dear Deepak, ESI is deducted from both the sides eployee as well as employer.. All the employees whose gross salary is below rupees 10,000/- per month are covered under ESIC. Calculation is made of - Employee side = Gross Salary *1.75% Employer Side = Gross Salary * 4.75% Total = 6.5% PF contribution is made equally from both the sides employee & employer, 12% of Basic salary. Out of 12% of employer's contribution 8.33% goes to Pension Fund and rest 3.67% goes to Provident Fund. So, total contribution in Provident Fund = 12+3.67 = 15.67% and Pension Fund = 8.33%. Regards, Amit Seth.
