Statutory obligations of PE under CLRA are as under:
1. Obtain RC. Amend it as & when required. Renew it every year.
2. Issue Form V to contractors who are liable to apply for licence.
3. Maintain register of Contractors.
4. Certify the payments to contract labours made in his presence.
5. Submit annual return every year.
Statutory obligations of PE under other than CLRA:
Ensure that the contractor makes proper complaince of applicable labour laws to him as well as to PE. Whatever labour laws applicable to PE, are applicable to contractor's labour automatically irrespective of labour engaged by contractor.
