This will help a lot of couples to hookup if you know what I mean but tomorrow this may also have bad effects if you know what I mean

When I left Bangalore years ago, Valentine's day was unheard of. I wonder what all this craze now in India about this!! Is this because of Americanisation of industries?
Even in the UK, where I reside now, I had not heard of celebrations at work. I searched Google and found some answers.
"On this day, lovers express their feelings for each other by sending flowers and cards, giving candy, and sharing other tokens of their affection." More details at Valentine's Day Questions, Answers, News, Images and Info | ChaCha

Would the practices as shared in this discussion thread help you? Celebrating Valentine's Day at work- policy and process
The policy and the process for your firm can be best designed by you, as you know what you cannot implement .
Keep a positive environment for those who might want to celebrate it and purely spread the cheer, to those who may not .

Dear Ms. Riya,
A good quick question - Is your company based out of UK or US origin?
This is significantly of great magnitude to understand that work environment is a plinth to make certain productivity out of cheer celebrations & funtime with regards to the festives... when we talk about Valentine's day, it has no certainity except to embellish the purpose of celebrating it.
If you intend to celebrate this day, you may have to make fancy of the terms that predict no change in the employees nature at work. In my opinion, upto DRESS CODE is fine, games that do not get stupefaction should be strictly observed.

Hi All,
Couldn't wish valentines day as it was a busy day with team.
Thanks for the feed back and suggestions given by everyone.
Ours is a 150 employee International outbound BPO.We dial for UK,US and Australia. And we celebrate all the festivals in office,no matter it is valentines day, Halloween day or any Indian festivals. This gives our employees a relief or relaxation from their routine stressfull work schedule and targets..
We decorated our floor with red and white balloons.Employees including our management team came in one of the given colour dress code. it was pink, white, blue, yellow, red, orange, green. I was surprised by seeing our director came in dress code.
Game we played was treasure hunt. It was really nice to see the team running to find the treasure....
All together enjoyed a lot.........
Thanks regards
riya
