Dear Seniors,
I need a guidance on below matter.
Ours is a real estate consultancy located in Mumbai from last 5-6 yrs. We have a shops & establishment certificate as we registered, this month it is to be renewed.
But this year we have started one branch at another suburb of Mumbai.
So for that branch do we need to apply newly & get another certificate on the same co. name or we need to add the branch address at the time of renewal of current certificate?
Thanking in anticipation for your feedback.
Regards,

though you are carrying o n the ame business but at different premises but not at the main estblaishment, in my view you need to apply for registration of the new premises under Bombay Shops Act.

Dear Rsjdw,
Though it is a sister-concern or a Branch office in the same city, as per the Shops & Establishments Act has been enacted that the Employer need to apply for a new registration having specific number of employees.

Under Bombay Shops Act, there is no condition with regard to emplying any person to apply for registation and even if employrer alone is there in the branch, he needs to register it.
