Dear All,
The employer is having RC with its existing contractors with proper registration but the employer has started a new construction work where he appointed a new construction contractor so my question is.
1) Should employer has to register his name in His RC.
2) The contract labour license is required to a new constuction contractor.
3) If the work is for minimum period say for one month to six months of time still employer has to carry out all legal prosedures.
4) The construction contractor has to maintain all legal registers..
pls advise..

Dear Rahul ji,
Shri. Preetam Deshpande is absolutely correct. I wish to add three things further for your information and knowledge.
First one, if the new construction work is in the same premises then there will be an amendment to current RC with enrollment of new contractor. But, if the new construction work is in different premises then you have to apply for fresh RC.
Second one, BOCW Act is also applicable to the construction work under which each establishment is require to obtain RC and each construction worker engaged for more than 90 days is require to register as beneficiary.
Third one, Cess under BOCW Act is payable at 1% of project cost.
Thanks and regards.
