Dear all A fun trip with friends to the EVP World theme park in Chembarambakkam on Tuesday turned fatal for a 22-year-old flight attendant with Kingfisher Airlines after she was thrown off an ‘Octopus ride’ car. She suffered severe head injuries and died on the way to the hospital.

Dear Vijay,

OMG.,, Just last month I went with my friends to Queens land and Black thunder theme park with my friends and had a good time (You wrote a command on my picture on FB as well ). Fact was most of the accidents happens on theme parks due to carelessness nobody ready follow the instruction (Including me). In water ride game (I don’t know exactly what we call) instruction clearly say only 2 persons allowed but my friends riding 3 peoples in one time if something goes wrong what will happen??????? They are my close friends I did advice 1000 of times but they did the same.. But god craze nothing happened to anyone. First thing tomorrow I’ll share the file with my friends then they realize the fact.

Specially in theme parks, sports club, gym, swimming pool etc., in those place we need take of our self it’s very easy too just follow the rules……

In Chennai (Including me) No one follow the traffic rules in city limit only 30 KMPH between 0700H to 1700H is allowed to drive but none of them drive below 30 KMPH in Chennai city limits .., ?? Same scenario that’s theme park its road safety but both are ends with ‘’ACCIDENT’’...

Team,

Specially you’re going out with your family wherever it’s not a matter just follow the rules i.e, wear helmet, follow the speed limit, Obey traffic signs etc.,,

Mr.Vijay thanks for sharing the news with us. Keep on going…

Dear All

To read more on what Mr. Vijay updated us, i gone through the website and came across the below:

"Now, the question is who gave the clearance for the equipment at the park? And the various government agencies, the factories department, the pollution control board, police, primary health centre and others, are blaming the rest.

The Tiruvallur district administration and revenue officials have been stung into action. A team of revenue officials led by sub-collector M Ravikumar and tahsildar Nageswara Rao made an inspection of the amusement park and found the main door locked. Following this, they sealed the park and pasted a notice asking the authorities to produce the documents before the district administration to get it repoened.

"As we don't have special experts to analyse the quality of the equipment, we will rope in mechanical engineering experts from Anna University to examine the equipment and to identify the age of the hydraulic devices used in these joy ride games," a senior district administration official who examined the park told TOI."

Flight attendant died as seat belt came off: Police - Times Of India

Very pathetic condition... The law enforcing authorities are just awaking when a fatal accident happened, that also with less clarity on what to do???

Dear Dipil,
Welcome back yaa.,,
Yesterday i came across the news as well in web which you shared the link on your previous reply,.. Not only this Mr.Dipil, You go anywhere specially which was maintained by Govt. Its just an example for how our government was, In Vellore COLLECTOR office fire hydrant system was totally out of order its not maintained properly valves are totally damaged no fire hoses etcc.,, This is the real status of Collector office in vellore. If something goes wrong fire accident happen then, very next day collector will give interview to Media; So and So reason fire accident happen in our office due to lack of maintenance in Fire hydrant system we can't control the fire immediately, However with help of nearest fire dept we controll the fire etc..,, and he should say ''WE WILL TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO CONCERNED DEPARTMENT TO AVOID SUCH KIND OF MISHAPS IN FUTURE''..
Our government always REACTIVE not ''PROACTIVE'' .. Nothing to do never.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Dear Friends
At least after seeing such incidents our government must involve some authorities (not for collecting the bribe) to inspect all the amusement parks thoroughly and give certification and if required they can authorise some third party inspectors to inspect and issue certificate periodically after thorough inspection. Because it's the matter of life of those who are going for enjoyment with their hard earned money.

Dear All,
I agree and disagree too with the views shared by all.
I agree that improvement is necessary by Government.
Let me share my experience of my visit to "Maharashtra Fire Services".
They have an excellent facility. They have 8 storied building, fully constructed following provisions made under National Building Code. In fact they have specifically kept non-compliances during construction.
They educate the trainees and examination is conducted to identify the these non-compliances.
The visionary Chief has made the entire facilities look like as if we are in Europe.
II disagree on the fact that we can not blame only the Government.
We should do our part.
We can ask for safety instructions. SOP's. Follow all safety rules, encourage others to do so.
I hope I could express what I mean.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir

Dear Sir
Thanks for come with your views...
If this could have the scenario everywhere we may save many many precious human life's... Now the situation you have mentioned on the Maharashtra Fire Services Office building... What about those industries in which this same fire service office given NOC's... Are they following systems... Are they maintained there fire fighting systems according to the requirement of National Building Code... If yes this is the real victory of that Chief In charge, or else as per me maintaining office only is not fulfilling the purpose...

Dear Vijay,
Thank you for sharing the news. Mode of communication is interesting. I was little disappointed that there is no information on the cause or probable cause. May be the media may not have reported any. If in case you get any more information on how and why this happened, it will be more useful to understand

Dear all
There is no meaning to criticize only the Government staff / the system. Everyone have their own responsibility. As Raghu said, how many of us following the basic rules such as wearing helmet etc. If anything occurred, the government react for the incident and closely monitor the issues. It will go for just few days. One thing i would like to remember. Government means what? Is it an equipment? No...joint function of ordinary human beings. If there is something wrong between the link then there will be collapse in entire system (Domino theory). If we found any irregular things then we should ASK for the RIGHT. Atleast we have to insist. Else there will be no changes and we have to read / watch lot of incidents like this in our daily life.
