Dear All. .
I am handling the HR department of an automobile Dealership with approximately 1500 employees. I am working on employee engagement activities to improve the morale of the employees . but since it is an automobile dealership, it is not easy to co-ordinate and do activities for service department due to their tight work schedule.
Please give me ideas that will not consume a lot of time but is effective. .
Thanks & Regards

Sarath, employee engagement is what employers receive in return for having all their executives, managers, and supervisors doing their jobs well. Improving morale is not the same as developing employee engagement.

Understanding your implied question, you may have to divide them in to groups, (of 50 or 100) individuals falling under same shift schedules and then conduct the activities intended in a planned period of time feasible.......

My Company has done several different employee engagement activities, including; jeans day/casual day, random holiday's - ex. National Pretzal Day in which we randomly spread out different types of pretzals all over the office for people to munch on, grilling out on nice days during lunch time.

You ideally conduct an EE survey on line of Gallup Q 12 and identify the pain areas through the survey. The basic of any EE activity is too identify:
Honeymooners & hamsters
Crash & Burn
engaged empl
almost or partially engaged employee
Based on the type of the empl you need to go in for short term EE prog & then long term EE programs.
