Hi All !

Yesterday my brother got an offer letter from a company (MNC) and they want him to submit all the documents as per their Background Check policy within 5 days from the date of acceptance of their offer. I want your advice on few points, as under.

1.) My brother joined current company as an off-roll employee and after 8 months he got diverted to On-roll and now he has been working since around 3 years so my question is if he want experience letter and relieving letter from his current company then what they will put into the duration in respective letter and what they will confirm in case they would get a call for verification. or the concerned company will accept if current company doesn't disclose the off roll period.

2.) They have asked for the notary authorization so what is this and from where he can get this.

3.) He is residing in Sec - 11 Rohini, Delhi in one of his friend's house but belongs to Mathura and they are asking about current and permanent address proof so what he can give about current address proof.

In today's scenario every big organisation and MNCs are getting background check done for all new joinees hence do not worry it is a process followed most of the places.
Regarding offroll and onroll experience. Keep it simple, please ensure to mention on the employment form the specific period of offroll and onroll employment. Keep the HR informed that he may or may not get the experience letter for the offroll period.
Regarding notorization Apurva has already given detailed info.

To add to what Apurva Singh mentioned, you don't actually need to go a court for the Notary. There would be many in some market areas--with a large signboard "NOTARY" [sometimes Notaries also operate from homes]. You need to show the original & the get the copy notarized. Just do a Google search to locate a Notary near you.
Like Apurva Singh mentioned, it's just a form of attestation, but by a Govt-authorized person called 'Notary' [which makes the notarized document a legally-binding document]. One reason why the company may be asking for the signing by a Notary could be to ensure the Joinee doesn't fake his certificate(s) by getting it attested by just about anyone.
Reg the Experience Letter from his present company, let him specifically ask for BOTH off-roll & on-roll periods mentioned--if the facts are supported by the relevant documentation [pay-slips, etc], it shouldn't be a problem.

Actually with in that 8 months his company changed 2 off-roll consultants so I hope there will not be any problem regarding his experience letter and also in verification by other company. (that means he is required 3 experience letters or his present company will create a single 1 for him)
And What if he say that he live there as a PG still he is required to submit any documents.
