I was recently selected in a Company for Search engine marketing profile via a HR recruitment firm. Company even released my offer letter, they Actually sent me a soft copy of it. I had to join my new company on 15th of april. So i resigned from old job on 15 th of march as we had a month notice period. Everything was going smoothly until today. I got a call from my new company saying that they cannot recruit me as the project on which i was suppose to work is not woth them now. Now i am in a fix. I have lost my new job Also i have resigned from my old one. My last working day in my old company 14 th april. Please advice me what should i do?

I think its pure viloation of the contract. The new company in which you are supposed to join must be already knowing that the project is gone and you cannot be a part of it. If that is the case they should be informing you in prior bec they cannot play with anyones job/Career.
I am sorry to hear that you are in a fix. I think you got two choices
1) You can try talking to the HR of the new company that based on the offer given, i quit my previous job and its thier resp to take it further. Tell them that you are open to learn and work in any platform negotiate with them. I think they need to compensate with you one month pay or something that would help you financially to stablise.
2) If you are in the good books of your old employer I am sure they may consider your situtaion and shall re-hire you. [ provided if you are ok with it].

And to add 1 more point, everyone has to learn from thier mistakes - however it is important not to repeat it. So, in future you may switchover to new company and they would roll out your offer but pls ensure to do complete homework about the progress of the company. Go to thier website check thier partners, recent media reports, the financial stability and other things. These all should happen before you put your papers down so the homework has to start from the time you apply for your job so by the time you get your offer and put your papers at least you would be confident about your move and would not be landing up in such mess.
Hope this helps.
