Dear I herewith attach sample KRA

Key Result Areas FY 2010-2011:
  • To achieve annual target of Honey of 8000 c/s.
  • To support achieving 325 c/s production of sauces per working day or as per dispatch plan.
  • To maintain GHPs in all steps of the production process.
  • All domestic order to be dispatched as per dispatch plan and within 48 Hrs. of receipt of specific orders.
  • All domestic order to be dispatched as per dispatch plan and within 48 Hrs. of receipt of plant orders.
  • To reduce raw and packing materials wastages to 2% from current 3 %
  • To ensure staff & workers hygiene & Discipline.

Dear Rahul,

Few of the examples of KRAs that you have given are not measurable. I have given my comments if the particular is not measurable. Each KRA should be SMART i.e. Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time bound. A KRA that does not cover these five attributes is not KRA at all.

1) Production Planning:-
a) To plan, organize, monitor as well as to ensure the projected and actual time that a technician takes to produce several
units - (Task/project time)
b) Planning and developing different teams as well as groups for various project needs - as per different products
c) Ensure all production teams are directly engaged in production tasks while creating/setting the benchmark
d) Planning and suggesting for dedicated as well as advanced manufacturing/assembly facility
e) Planning and monitoring Capacity Utilisation Rate for manufacturing yield vs possible manufacturing yield
f) Planning and monitoring the production cost while assessing the average cost per unit, sale price, and gross margin

2) Manufacturing/ Assembly:-
a) Improve the overall capacity of production as well as measure first-pass yield to ensure maximum output/production level
b) Monitor & ensure the overall effectiveness of equipment as well as machinery
c) Reduce machine and unscheduled downtime while tracking the service life cycle of machines and types of equipment
d) Reduce rework by ensuring all the technicians are fully trained for new as well as existing products and the quality of raw
materials used
e) Minimise scrap rate due to errors
f) Monitor and analyze the utilization rate of manpower and machinery/equipment
g) Assessing, developing, and executing effective manufacturing process cycle time to ensure optimum output against input
h) Reduce nonoperative time and increase the revenue per employee that each employee generates over time

3) Quality Control & Assurance:-
a) Understanding customer needs and requirements and communicating the same to the production team
b) Developing ways to improve the quality of the manufacturing process at a high
c) Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products
e) Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations
f) Develop & adopt improvements to the production process to ensure quality control
g)Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence
h) Developing, and enhancing new procedures for products and processes to meet the standard set by authorities
i) Assessing the raw material requirements from vendors/suppliers and monitoring their compliances
j) Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and health and safety guidelines
k) Keeping accurate documentation, gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, assisting
external auditors and inspectors, and performing analysis
4) Internal Coordination & Team Management:-
a) Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, and dealers by providing the best possible services and taking
feedback.
b) Ensure that all the inquiries & concerns are thoroughly dealt with within the timescales
c) Coordinate with sales, store, R&D as well as other concerned teams for smooth operations
d) Monitor the performance and manage the overall production team to meet the target
e) Perform health and safety measures and develop as well as implement the same within the production floor
