Hello Friends,
As per new ESIC no. alloted by them, they now want our staff (those who are applicable for ESIC) to visit their branch office with their family, for family photographs & fingerprints. They also need to attend a camp along with their family on same dates to know more benefit from ESIC.I received information that if the staff is not with the persons who he had mentation on ESICform as his family members they will not allowed for benefit?
Date to visit their offices in mumbai are- 23/03/10 to 26/03/10
29/03/10 to 31/03/10 & 05/04/10 to 9/04/10.
Is this just cause of they are incresing the ESIC limit? why all of a sudden GOVT. doing this camp? I don't think this will work out.
What is your opinion friends?

ESIC has come up with the concept of master/smart card for insured person. this campaign is being run across india.
to create smart card, insured person has to visit their camps for photogaphs and scanning of fingure prints. after this insured person will get two smart cards, one is for him/herself and second is for family. by smart card insured person and his family can get ESIC benefits anywhere in india, no matter whether the family is residing with insured person or not.
it is complusary for all because after 11th August 2010, only samrt card will be acceptable every where to get medical benefits as conveyed by esic officers.

Even I made one major mistake is that at the time of submitting the NEW form as per 17 digit format I had not taken the xerox of the form. I m just have the acknowledg letter from them where i had list of ESIC forms /NO./Name of the Insured person which I had submitted to them.
Guide me what I supposed to do Now?

Biometric card are to be issued by Wipro having contract with ESIC.This would benefit getting medical facilities anywhere in India.Thus a major landmark for ESIC beneficiers

You should have taken the copies of the forms as an added confirmation but nonetheless if you still have the acceptance letter signed and stamped, it will work.
The employee just need to carry their permanent ESI cards in order to get their photographs and scanning of fingure prints done at the ESIC camp. In case they deny on any individual, you can always give a copy of the letter to the employee to show at the camp.
