Dear Somashekahr,

1.If your establishment is covered under Factories act , you hv to give 1 day Leave for every working day. Not necessary to distribute in CL, SL and PL, but you can cover it as only Leave.
2. Also there is prefix and suffix rule, which states that the weekly off and the Paid Holiday will be calculated as Leave if you take it in between two paid Leaves. Same rule is for absentism.

Can you let us know the act that specifies this prefix or suffix rule? Subramaniam P G 9840096048

Dear All,
Thanks for providing inputs.
Our organization is covered under Shops & establishment, we do have 5 days working per week.
In this case according to Establishment act 12 days and PL - Every 20 working days 1 leave. IF the management declares only 12 days all together, is there any implecations.

Dear Somashekhar,
You have taken so much time in telling the applicability of this Act. Now you may go through the Shops Act of your State for grant of different types of leaves to be allowed to the employees.
