This is my first posting since I have come into the Network. Anyway, if any of our friends can let me know whether "Minimum Wages Act" is applicable for Educational Institutes (Technical) or not, if yes, what are the procedures and the rate of "Minimum Wages" in West Bengal for the same.

Dear Suhas Mukherjee,
Educational Institutes have not been included in the list of schedule employments in the state W B so far & these institutions are not covered under Minimum wages Act,1948. Therefore no minimum wages notification is to be issued by the Govt. for the employees working in these institutions. I have gathered this information from the site 'paycheck.in'.
