What will be are fixed components?

Mr. Govind Singh

While going through the salary breakup posted by you, it has been noticed that the percentage of basic salary taken for calculation of gratuity is on higher side, which should be 0.5% in place of 4.8% while calculating on monthly basis. Rest are OK.

It depends on your organization itself. Few organization calculate all the components payable on the basis of no. of days present. Few organization pay full HRA amount and decrease the other components as it is assumed that even if the employee has worked for less than no. of max. paid days, he has paid the rent for accomodation for the full month.

Dear Ashwini,
In my opinion basic salary and other allowances with whatever name called will proportionately deducted if an employee works for lessor no. of days & remain absent and if he takes leave of any kind then in that case his salary will not be deducted or reduced proportionately. Basic and other allowances are given for his work and for his absence.
Submitted as requested.

As per the minimum wages of UP, the helpers salary is Rs 5200/-. Now it increased and the present minimum wages is Rs 6000/-.
In my company a helper get basic = 5200, HRA = 600 , Conveyance = 600. so the total salary is Rs 6400. Can I reduce HRA and conveyance by 400/- each so that the basic of a helper will be 6000 and HRA = 200 , Conveyance. = 200. Is it possible to reduce the HRA & Conveyance amount.
Please help.
Regards
Khan
