Hi,

I resigned from one company in September 2007 and joined another company in September 2007. The new employer was a startup, and the PF account was ready from September 2007. I applied for the PF transfer with the current employer immediately.

When I contacted the PF office, I learned that the transfer process is ongoing, and my application was sent from the previous PF office (previous company area) to the PF office (current employer area) for signatory verification as of October 2008. The signatory who signed my transfer document, an interim officer, no longer works with the current employer, and the present signatory is a different person. What is the probable negative impact during the signatory verification process? Will this situation require starting a new transfer process?

Is there an easy online way for me to track the transfer progress?

Dear Friend,

You can transfer your EPF account through Form-13, filled and submitted to the EPF office by your current employer. After submission of the form, within 2 months, the EPF office will send you a confirmation letter to your current employer.

Do you mean that I have to resubmit for the PF transfer? I have already submitted it 6 months before, and I came to know on October 7th that it is still under progress.

Hi Madhu,

You will receive Form No. 13 from your current office. You can fill it out; the only thing you need is to obtain your PF Number from your previous employer. You can even call them to get the number and submit the form from your office directly to the PF Office. It will be taken care of.
