Hi friends,
A friend of mine worked for a company for 4 months but has resigned from his job due to continuous illness caused by chikungunya. PF has been deducted in his current company. He doesn't want his future employer to know that he left the job due to sickness, as that may hinder his job prospects. Therefore, he wants to hide this information and show that he is still with his ex-employer.
My question is whether he can take the PF money and cancel the account or transfer it to his new employer. If he transfers the account, will there be an issue with them finding out that he is no longer an employee as indicated in his relieving letter?
Kindly reply.

Dear Sirajuddin,
Your friend cannot withdraw his full PF amount since he has not completed his 6-month term. He can fill out Form 10C and select to accept the PF scheme certificate. Alternatively, he can withdraw a partial amount comprising 12% of his share of contribution and 3.67% of the employer's share but not the remaining 8.33% of the Pension fund.
If he wishes to transfer the same to his new employer, there might be an issue because he has to fill out Form No. 13 to have his funds transferred to the new account. In this form, he needs to provide details about his previous employment and resignation, which may alert his new employer.

Hi,
Could you please provide me with the PF Withdrawal Calculator in an Excel format by entering salary data? This will help me determine the previous company's PF amount. I hope to receive a favorable response.
