During on of my discussions with a HR collegue i came across this concept called "Geometric Psychology". Since both of us did not have much of inputs on the same decided to research a little on the topic.

- The concept was worked upon by Dr.Susan Dellinger.
- Dr. Dellinger explains not only how to determine your own personality type, she reveals how to use geometric psychology to identify the beliefs, values, and attitudes of any person you meet.
- She has authores a book on the same topic as well.
- This concept can be used as a part of the training modules for team building or people management.
- This concept via training modules highlights the follo:
- Different People embody different attitudes / traits
- Diffrent working styles within a group
- various beliefs and value systems
- Motivators for the group members
- Comfort Zones they prefer
- Work execution / approcah towards task at hand
Just to name a few.
How to execute :
Ask the audience to choose a shape from the following :

SQUARE? RECTANGLE?TRIANGLE? As a facilitator you need to tell them that they should choose the shape ( from the above) they identify / relate to the most.
Once they have done that ask them to form groups with people who have choosen the similar shape and exchnage ideas why they have choosen that particular shape.
Also at this point in time yoou can observe the composition of the group by the number of people representintg each of the 5 shapes.
You can now ask the two - three mini groups representing shapes to converge and discuss why they chose that particular shape.
After this small bit of interaction you can share with them the basic understanding of the Shapes and personality traits associated with it as per Dr.Susan`s work.
Attached is the doc that explains the same.
You need to also tell them that this is a generalistic reading of the shapes they have choosen. One needs to do a detailed analysis of the same using more techniques from the Geo - Psychology or Psychometic testing point of view.
As a conclusion yuo can ask them their learnings or takeaways from the exercise.
Do let me know your comments if you find the post useful / informative and also your comments on the Geo-Psychology theory.
Best Regards
