Dear Professionals, Please clarify:
The manager of a factory should be a full-time employee in the factory?
Can he continue as manager of the factory under Factories Act after his superannuation i.e. 58 years?
If so, please specify relevant provisions.

Thanks & Regards

There is no pre-requisite for being Factory Manager, the occupier of the factory can nominate any one as Factory Manager. Whether the Factory Manager is full time or not is not a material issue but the incumbent has to bear responsibility as is provided in the Act. There is no age bar for the post.
