I am also intersested to know how organised companies manage Part Time employment in India.In Europe it is common.They are treated in all ways like regular employees with all benefits but lower salary for the lower hours of work.In India, you need to take contract labour and the contractor as well as the contracting company need to be registered and a lot of details are to be provided.If someone has experience in handling part time employment in a regular company, please share.
