This is a good discussion point raised by our friend.
Nowadays, most of the companies are having Forklift Truck for Material Handling.
Attached files for your consideration and it is now must to have RTO registration for Forklift Truck used elsewhere in company / outside.
Give your comments.
We insist LMV license for the same.

Dear Inder,
Really a good sharing mate. All vehicles should be registered as per our law. LMV license is enough to opreate Forklift's. In our company we will provide seperate training and conduct written exam to all opreators.
We will provide seperate license to them internally it's our company policy.
Note; Due to my company pollicy i cant share that presentation very sorry!!!

we insist on LMV licence for driving purpose.
we have our own internal trained team from (our parent company) who conducts tests on various levels & then certifies the person. Once they certify, then we take the person for job.
but still, if some on can suggest what sort of driving license is reqd. then we also can think of the same.

Hi Inder,
Any person who is working as a paid driver (a person employed for driving, as against a person who is employed for other things but is driving company vehicle to get work) is required to have a Transport License. Therefore, the person must have a LMV-TR License not a LMV license.
Technically speaking, since the person is driving the vehicle within the factory premises only, a license may not be necessary under Motor Vehicles Act. However, it is a good idea to ensure that the person has a valid license.
