Many people ask what the importance of human resource is. Here I just wanted to share my thoughts with you all. I feel very sad when people ask such questions. It’s our responsibility to open their eyes. In fact I have seen that people having recruitment background use to scream at the people who are from other side of HR. AND I HAD THIS BITTER EXPERIENCE.

What distinguishes a successful company from unsuccessful one is the quality of manpower. I feel from here it self it shows the importance of human resource. On this level it works like a talent acquisition function. Here its responsibility starts from to hire best employees for the right profile at the right time. All are equally important. The role of management is to optimize the use of resource available to it. The role of HR is to incorporate the planning & control of man power resource into the corporate level plans so that all resources are used together in the best possible combination.

People say my company policy is good, people are co-operative, culture is good, and facilities are good. But if you will ask who is responsible to make them comfortable? You will get a blank response.:!::!:..... Why we do not make them understand….. we HR people are here to take care of all, to facilitate them and to make them comfortable. HR ensures the development of employee dynamism, effectiveness, competencies & motivation in a systematic & planned manner. We have multiple goals. We are the people who identify the competency gap of employees & train them to perform roles in effective manner.

I believe Human resource works like a pillar.

I would like to request you all to share your thoughts.

hi,a very interesting piece on hr.I too would like to share some thoughts on the issue.HR as the name implies deals with the human quotient, and not simply statistics targets or figures.HR management is one of the most difficult tasks and also the most thankless one.A financial manager seldom thinks he has been hired by the HR or that is comforts are being looked after by them.Nevertheless, companies should have the best in their hr depts.Only a happy and satisfied tteam will deliver the goods. An HR function which often gets overlooked is that of redressal of grievances of employees. The grievances looked into wil obviously be of a more human nature than professional.A good hr department should be able to address the situation and provide its recommendations to the management

Well said rmp2427. The sad part is that if anything goes wrong HR is to blame and if everything is nice and rosy, the credit goes to the Managers and other team members. They forget who facilitates all this.
