Dear Folks,
Greetings of the Day!
I have newly joined as a HR Manager in a 3 star Hotel in Chennai. The Hotel is performing for past 10 years without the proper HR department. I have to implement all the HR activities & Policies in this Hotel. I have experiences in Placement consultancies & Hospitals, but i don't have a proper exposure in Hotel Industry. So, could anyone please guide me in daily & monthly based HR activities for a 3 star hotel.
Awaiting for your replies.
Thanks,
M. Vinoth Kumar,
HR Manager.

I fully agree with Mr. Ashok Negidi, HR of Hotel is no different than HR activities of Hospital. Mr. Ashok has adviced you all which is being done in almost all hotels. Apart from that if you require anything please feel free to post for the said subject and the seniors will advice accordingly

I also recently joined the Human resource department of a restaurant.Had to start the whole department from scratch. It was very challenging at first but now things are falling into place.
But a lot of creativity and innovation is needed to keep the crew(staff)motivated.
Anyone in the hotel industry who can help me out with motivation tips?
Thank you.

Dear Ashok,
Greetings for the Day!
Thanks for your Guidelines. I found most of the below said Documents ( Joining Documents, leave cards, Id cards)available. They don't have the policies of selection, performance appraisal, bonus, incentives, separation policy , employee benefits. I have implemented the Appointment letter, Offer Letter, Employee Performance Analysis & Appraisal. Still i have to work on the part said by you and i hope i will bring the ship under control.
Thanks,
Vinoth Kumar. M
