Hi have recently faced an interview by CEO and asked following questions :-

!) Why you want to change your job.
2) Why you want to change from Telecom Based Company to Infrastructure Company
3) What is the current ceiling of PF / ESI
4) What is your current roles and responsibilities.

Last question but confusing, I want answer from all of you – Interviewer asked me that How you engage yourself for the whole day? This is a very diplomatic question for me because I am not a blue collar, who works over the machine and making him engaged for the whole day. For a management employee it is very hard to define the work in specified hours.

Please suggest.

Dear Pankaj,
Good questions. And the doubt u arosed at last was quite confusing me also. Not only in interviews, in normal talk with the colleagues of other departments used to tell "What exactly u do all the day?".
Pls any one tell us, how to explain and justify it.

Hi,
We all do recruitment in one or the other day. And when time comes to recruit any senior level position, I trust in behavioural questioning.
As candidate who is applying for any senior level position, must be possesing at least 8 - 10 years of relevant experience, so his job knowledge / understanding must be good, or atleast near to good.
What we need to check is what kind of personality he is, what is his attitude and whether he is in position to handle a team (as being senior level position). Here behavioural interviewing helps us a lot. Questing like 'what you do on your holiday ?' is one way of understanding that wheter that person can utilize his free time properly or not.
There are many such qustions we can ask.

Nice response frenz!
However, a few questions which i thought were really interesting are:
  • How do you keep yourself engaged the whole day
  • How can you add value to our HR
  • What have you achieved in your last organization
I shall create a document and try and post on the same forum with the most interesting questions in HR interviews along with their Ans or tips.
Thanks
