Hi Pramod,

HR can not necessarly be a business partner in every organisation unless the organisation wants it to be. A businees partner means equally responsible for profit and loss of organisation by having involved in key management decisions which has long term effect for good or bad shape of the organisation. HR department acting as a Business Partner means contributing towards to formulation and implementation of HR policies to meet business requirements. This starts with attracting right people at the right time for the right job.Every organisation whether fail or successful is driven by employees hence HR's role in managing talent has a deep impact on business projections of the organisation. After having adequate manpower to carry out the day to day targeted work HR as a business partner needs to build a bridge for the employees to use and cover the distance from less or average prouductivity to superior one. This is done to proper competancy mapping, comprehensive Performance management system and fear free enviornment.HR also acts as a business partner when it comes to create more leadres to take charge and deliver the expected results when old leaders retire. Succession planning, Culture development and management,Employee branding and other key factors which directly or indirectly affect business. A lot more can be written on HR's Business partner role. However, I hope this would atleast build the intial image.
