I am a fresher, I have joined a startup and worked there for 2 months. I didn’t like the work there and have resigned. I was a trainee then. During the first month, HR collected my details for UAN. Don’t know whether they have allotted me one. I cut both employee and employer PF contributions from my salary for those 2 months, yet I haven’t created an account in my name, apparently. When I resigned, they didn’t provide me the salary and also the pf money, as well as any relieving letter or salary slip because there was a bond for 2 years (which actually they mentioned in the offer letter, but no physical sign was taken). Now I have got a job in a big MNC which has stringent BGV, and they apparently need a relieving letter, or else they’d terminate the offer after joining.
I do not know if UAN is created or not. I have checked with Know my UAN with Aadhar and PAN and it says “UAN details not found against user” but I am not sure about it. How do I go about working at the new company? I cannot provide a relieving letter and have no idea if UAN is created. If I hide this from the new company and if at all UAN exists, they’ll flag me red for not informing. Please help
