Would love to know what is the general principles adopted in fixing the "Notice Period" duration and Fixing of "Bonds" in Software companies (Indian Companies) and also MNCs operating in India ? Is there any statutory guidelines ? If so where can I find them ?

Hi Pradeep,
As per my knowledge, notice period and bond relation will be discussed to employee by employers at the date of joining in their concern. In appointment letter , some of the companies have clearly stated about the notice period and certain conditions. Many of the companies are ready to get bond agreement signed from employee, without leave the organization during the tenure period.
So,Notice period and bond agreement are not statutory , it creates or implements only by management of the company.
