Dear Fraternity,

Need to know on one of our EPS Case that we register one of our employee with 15,000 permissible wages for EPF & EPS but while generating his EPF challan error showing that need to exclude EPS wages for that particular employee. When we ask one of our legal fellow on same we received a two inputs.
1. If we marked his EPS wages more than 14999/- a month system will not consider his/her EPS contribution
2. Or if his previous history shows his Basic more than 15,000/- than also you can not contribute his EPS
Then i crossed check his EPFO history his first deduction was made without EPS and contrinuted like 1800 for Employee EPF & 1800 for Employer EPF.

Its appreciable for your kind experienced suggestion over it how should we go through it as an employer??

Hi,
need little clarity in your doubt:-
I am thinking your current new joiner who is having issue already worked in previous organization, where his basic salary is more than 15000, so as per EPF new rules he is Pension excluded employee, Since UAN is same so in your organization also he will be pension excluded case, his pension basic need to make 0 and employer contribution fully need to deposit in EPF and pension head need to be 0 in ECR uploading.

Thanks.

Dear Concern,

Thanks for your revert, as per your trailing message yes employee's history showing that his previous employer excluded his EPS and deposited full amount in Employer EPF contribution hence now onward we unable to contribute his Pension %

Dear sir,

You cant remit his contribution in EPS account, so you should remit his 12 % contribution to EPF account only , he will not eligible for EPS.
i have attached a sample for your reference , you do follow it.
