Dear Mr. Seshadri,
No you can't do it and it is wrong also but if the employee is on loss of pay for both Satrudary and Monday then sunday is going to be loss of pay. In case of CL and SL intervening holidays or weekly offs are also be part of leave but in case of EL / PL - No.

Dear Seshadri,
It is totally wrong and unfair to to follow such leave policy. Most of the org. leave policy is :
1). If you take leave on Friday, Saturday and report on monday. then there will be two days leave. (Sunday excluded)
2) if you take leave on Saturday, Monday and report on Tuesday. then there will be 3 days leave. Sunday will be included as a leave.

Dear,
If any body fill up EL/PL for Saturday and Monday then there is only two leaves, you should mark Sunday as a W-Off, If any body fill up CL/SL for the same day then it should be mark three leave.

Dear All,
Most of the people are currect. Sunday will be treated holiday. But some shift people who's weekly off will be other day then 'Sunday' will be counted. If the management is having any leave policy it will be varry. The Labour Laws says "ANY PERSON CONTINUOUSLY WORKED SIX DAYS THE SEVENTH DAY WILL BE TREATED AS WEEKLY OFF".

any One working for continuosly 6 days , the next day is holiday, it depend on the management which day should it be, but if once the day is declared as weekly off, then it does not matter whether the person is present day before or after.
