My name is Payton Stewart. I am currently a Ph.D. student at University of Houston studying industrial/organizational psychology. I am researching how information gathered from an applicant’s social networking site is used to make hiring decisions. This study aims to provide researchers with more information about this widely used practice as well as to provide professionals with guidance as to how to use the information from an applicant’s social networking site in selection screenings.
The survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete, and your responses will be anonymous. By participating in this research, you will be entered into a raffle for a $100 Amazon gift card. In order to be eligible for the raffle, you must provide an emailing address. This information will be stored separately from your responses, so your responses will not be linked to this information. You do not have to provide this information if you do not want to, but you will not be eligible to win the Amazon gift card.
