Hi
One of the office assistant complained to the operations head that the Accounts manager is giving lot of work to her. It came to my notice and rather i know very well that there is no such heavy work. She will be leaving by sharp 6pm and will not stay for extra time also. She doesn't know the work properly and still learner. Why she complained to the operations rather than discussing with HR. Is she playing politics or what is going on. How should I handle

Dear Anupamakoppisetti
What is your position in the organisation. Is that Office assistant positioned to work under you. Who is your incharge. Have you reported the same to your In charge and HR Head. What was their response when you informed about the same.
I am presuming that you are being placed above her and you are alloting her the task to perform. As you are telling that she is a learner, you must guide her. Please call her and give clear instruction with smiling face that if she have any difficulties in performing the day to day duties she can better inform you and you will complete the task and the person she complained will not going to assist you in completing the task. If she has any other problems with you, then she can report your boss who will be her boss too and in case of any sexual harrassment/gender related issues she can directly take up the case with the HR Department and not to some other who is not at all having any concern about it. Further you can request the HR Department to change her or your section.
