Hi Seniors, My company has paid me 4.5 month maternity benefit and has held remaining 1.5 months payment. I have already resigned from my post but still remaining payment has not been paid. What action I can take under Maternity Benefit Act.

Hi,
Normally company should not hold maternity payment. But there could be other factors involve like have you completed your exit formalities? Is your resignation accepted by your company? Have you resigned in between of your maternity or after completion of maternity?
I would suggest to check company policies, if there is any clause where completion of notice period is mandatory. Many companies process F&F after 45 days of last working day. Please check with your company HR as well and get clarification on this.
