Dear All, Please advise me how to write show cause letter to the employee who misbehaved with his reporting boss.

Dear Kavita ,

It sometimes happen that sometimes due to some reason employee misbehaves to their reporting boss and needs to be tacked nicely in order to maintain the decorum and harmony inside and outside the organisation .

few things which could be done :

try to know the reason first , before moving to any sort of conclusion ( as the other employees present there may make chaos if your decision would matter a lot )

they to check who was at default level (Although you have mentioned it but analysis of situation will help you to better judge the reason of the rude reaction by the employee too)

Make the space and other employees normal or concentrate their work rather than gossip or spread any rumor etc.

making a meeting with both parties by the HR Manager or senior person of the concerned department or both and solve the issue followed by asking sorry letter /mail from the person found at mistake .

Place a notice on the notice board regarding the rules and steps management can take if such gets repeated or your decision ( This can be neglected too , depends on your management policy )

For your present query , please find mentioned a sample which may assist you . Kindly format the same as per your requirements and decisions undertaken .

Misbehavior of any kind and with any level of employee is a serious nondisciplinary act as per the company’s policies and rules and by doing such with your reporting officer, Mr. ................... you have made yourself liable for necessary action.

(MENTION HERE YOUR DECISIONS UNDERTAKEN e.g penalty , or warning or any else)

Failure to adhere to the conditions of this warning, will lead to more serious corrective action up to and including discharge.

You are further advised to improve your decency and follow the discipline at work and submit a written explanation regarding this misbehavior within .....hours as soon as you receive this letter.

Kindly treat this as very urgent.
