Hi everybody,
I have just started as a fresher and I am part of recruitment. However I want to be a part of Corporate HR.
There is just one question in my mind, does being a recruiter enough to be a part of Corporate HR? And if the answer is yes then how many years of experience one needs to be a part of Corporate HR?
thanks
Would really appreciate a sincere guidance.

Being recruiter is not enough to be part of Corporate HR. Corporate HR is a mutidimensional function encompassing various HR functions including recruitment, talent managment, learning and devlopment, employee engagement, organisational devlopment industrial relations, benfits managment and statutory compliances etc. Corporate HR consists of various levels from junior management to senior and top executive level. Therefore you need to climb the corporate HR ladder. There cannot be a definite answer as to how fast you move up the ladder. It all depends up on your talent and exposure and how you address the opportunities and challenges that come your way.

Hi Billinta01,
As rightly pointed out by Mr Saikumar, Corporate HR activities encompass
very much beyond recruitment.
The policies are made at Corporate HR.
If the company owns a mult-unit set up at different locations, then Corporate HR
has to rationalise the payscales, incentive schemes, transfer rules,
deciding on various entitlement for different cadres, promotional policies,
career growth for employees etc.
Some people prefer to work in operating units first before going to Corporate.
This helps them with first hand experience of field jobs.
