Hi mates,
Let me start from the reason why I initiated this discussion. I had been to an interview at a software company and I was rejected though my major as HR in my graduation and I was up to the mark for the position. The position offered was IT recruiter. From the very being I answered all technical questions asked by the HR. At some point of the interview the interviewer asked me difference between non IT recruiter and an IT recruiter and of course I answered it, whatever I know, but he wanted me to tell the skills required for an IT recruiter, he told me there is a key difference between those two. I am still wondering what are the different skills used in the IT recruitment apart from normal recruitment. Please let me know what are the differences between IT recruiter and non IT recruiter. What are the skills used in the both the functions? PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi Gautham,
IT requirement is an attractive field. It is not necessary that you have in depth knowledge. But you should have basic awareness about the course content. Some of the important needs are as follows: .Net Developer, HTML developer,Java, C# programming, Oracle DBA to name a few. You should also have knowledge about salary structure. As for example, if one is a B.E. or M.C.A and one candidate has a Diploma, so the first one will be getting a higher salary. Please feel free to call me for any information or update.

Arup, thanks for you quick and prompt reply. Appreciate it. Well, I am from commerce background, I don't have any knowledge in those computers languages. What can I do now. Also, the HR who had interviewed me was also commerce background. Well, I also asked him that if I need any knowledge on computer languages, but he didn't tell clearly if I need or not. However, he did told that he is also from commerce background.
Arup, I have tried to text you on whatsapp, but it looks like you aren't on whatsapp. If you're on whatsapp, please feel free to share your number to my email address . I'd like to discuss more on this since I am looking for IT recruiter position and I'd need more basic knowledge on this.
Thanks in advance.
