Dear Madhuri,

There is a information in the entire thread that I had mentioned. Probably you could not filter the useful information.

You cannot get ready made training calendar. Every industry's or company's needs are different. Based on those needs you need to prepare the training calendar. Needs apart, you need to take into account the budgetary allocations as well. Third thing is ability of operations staffs to spare them for the training. Therefore, you need to have time budget also. I say this because in many companies there is tussle between HR and Ops/production for the training.

You can design your calendar based on the following types of programmes:

a) hardcore technical subjects related to your area of activity

b) ISO, Six sigma or training related to quality topics

c) Purchase and Inventory Management (very important, do not ignore)

d) Fire and safety

e) Soft skills and behavioural skills

f) Any major OD interventions like mentoring etc

g) Sales training

h) Finance related i.e. working capital management, finance for non-finance etc.

Now how much importance to be given to what subject that you need to decide. Take into account past training history, penchant of your boss for certain type of training (like finance, sales, quality etc) and so on. Find out how many persons fall in each category. Find out how many batches you need to make. Assign some budget to each day of training and then make a calendar. Before finalising the training calendar, keep your finance and production department in the loop lest them may feign ignorance when you declare some training programme.
